The Palmer Difference The Three Documents
Within Palmer Trucks there are three key documents The We Believe Statement,
Mission Statement, and the Courtesy Policy Eight Feet, Meet and Greet.
Together they define our corporate beliefs and values, establish behavioral standards,
attitudes and demeanor; promote personal integrity and performance for excellence
in customer service.
As we continue to grow and establish leadership in our industry, it is very important
to commit these underlying principles to paper. They are not ideals that we hope to one
day obtain, but values we want to continue to build on and express to new customers and
new team members.
WE BELIEVE OUR BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
- WE BELIEVE that the basic ingredients for business success are HONESTY and
HARD WORK in all dealings.
- WE BELIEVE that we are partners with our customers; that we must HELP THEM
TO BE PROFITABLE and SATISFY THEIR NEEDS.
- WE BELIEVE that we must provide SUPERIOR SERVICE and build on the foundation
of our business reputation.
- WE BELIEVE that only SUPERIOR PEOPLE provide SUPERIOR SERVICE.
- WE BELIEVE that superior people should be treated very well and compensated
accordingly.
- WE BELIEVE that LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE is the best way and that TEAMWORK is
essential
- WE BELIEVE that we must provide a HAPPY and SAFE environment; plus provide
training and encourage self-improvement.

The Mission Statement
We are dedicated to meeting our customer's truck needs by building quality relationships
with them and going the extra mile. Our Employees are the best they can be and display a
positive attitude. We will lead by example, work hard and treat everyone with honesty
dignity, and respect.

Eight Feet, Meet and Greet
If a fellow employee, customer, guest, basically anyone is within eight feet of your
personal space, you are to introduce yourself and greet them. Everyone deserves respect
and a sense of belonging to our group. Many of our customers have not seen a shower,
talked to anyone, or have had some difficult times on the road. By this policy we can make
their Palmer experience a pleasant one. By taking the first step we begin to build relationships.

The We Believe Statement, Mission Statement,
Eight Feet Meet and Greet are guiding principles of the
organization. Whatever positive action or decision is made, it can be
mapped to the central themes of the statement.
