More than 80% of the world population lives on less than $10 per day. In Indianapolis, where Palmer Trucks is headquartered, an estimated 19% live in poverty.

With such a pressing need both locally and globally, Palmer Leasing Group is thrilled to support our friends in New Haven, IN with Orphan Grain Train. Palmer Leasing has agreed to support Orphan Grain Train by donating the use of a Kenworth box truck in order to transport much needed goods to Nebraska, where they will then be loaded onto a shipping container bound for Kenya.

Kenya’s Kids is the organization that will then be distributing the goods to children in need overseas. Palmer Leasing Group General Manager Mark Fritcha commented, “Palmer Trucks and Palmer Leasing Group are proud to help the Orphan Grain Train and Kenya’s Kids with a truck to gather donated goods. Thanks to Friends in New Haven, IN for allowing us to help!”

Kenya’s Kids aids children in Kenya, where many are malnourished and without proper resources: many are located within orphanages. Orphan Grain Train serves those in need of food, medical supplies, and clothing in more than 68 countries around the world, and notably served more than 4.6 million meals last year around the globe.

Palmer Trucks and subsidiary Palmer Leasing Group thoroughly enjoy supporting our community partners as part of a higher calling to social responsibility, which was a passion of our founder Eldon Palmer within the Indianapolis community through service organizations such as Community Caring & Sharing.

The Palmer Group is honored to keep our customers and dedicated nonprofit organizations on the road, as we’ve done every day since 1965.
