Coordinating efforts to update software in the field can be a challenge for fleet operations managers. With a TruckTech+ modem standard in all Class 8 Kenworth trucks along with a convenient mobile app, safe and timely engine software updates have never been easier.

  • an active Truck Tech+ data subscription
  • PACCAR Solutions credentials
  • MY 2017 or newer truck with a PACCAR MX engine
  • a smartphone with the PACCAR OTA (Over-the-Air) app installed


Once parked, and only once parked thanks to Kenworth’s innovative safety features, a five-second-hold of the cruise control switch connects the truck to the secure PACCAR cloud server. The in-hand mobile app initiates the software update – allowing seamless visibility between the truck driver and the fleet operations manager.
