As the United States marks its 250th birthday, Kenworth Trucks is joining the celebration in style. Kenworth recently launched a limited-edition TourAmerica commemorative paint scheme. A modern reimagining of the iconic design that first appeared on the mid-1990s Kenworth T600, timed to coincide with the nationwide Freedom 250 initiative.
“The original TourAmerica T600 represented innovation and pride for drivers across the country,” said Kevin Haygood, Kenworth’s Assistant General Manager for Sales and Marketing. “Bringing that design forward for today’s models allows us to honor that history as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.”
The scheme is available on the T680, W900L, W990, and T880, all equipped with sleepers, blending heritage styling with contemporary finishes.

Kenworth TourAmerica Paint Scheme and Freedom 250 Tour: T680 Donation and Community Impact
Kenworth also donated a T680 with a 76-inch sleeper to the Freedom 250 Tour. The tour operates a fleet of Freedom Trucks, a collection of mobile museums traveling the country throughout 2026. They bring interactive educational exhibits to schools and communities while honoring veterans and the trucking industry.
The trucking industry has always been woven into the fabric of this country. This year’s celebration is a reminder of just how deep that connection runs.
